Argentina interested in the ANKA UAV of Turkish Aerospace

Argentina is interested in Turkish Aerospace’s (TUSAS) ANKA unmanned aerial vehicle. Argentina Defense Minister Jorge Taiana hosted Türkiye’s Ambassador in Argentina Süleyman Ömür Budak and representatives of Turkish Aerospace Industries within the framework of cooperation agreements with Türkiye in the field of defense.

During the meeting, the officials emphasized the importance of strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between Argentina and Türkiye, as well as the ties towards principles based on common benefit and equal rights. In addition, attention was drawn to the effective and continuous growth of the Armed Forces of both countries in terms of defense industry. The parties in the field of defense industry with Türkiye have reached a mutual understanding on the agreement that will provide for the establishment of cooperation for the development of production capabilities, procurement processes, maintenance, and modernization of military products.

In addition, representatives of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) presented their air and space systems products to the Argentine General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. These included various fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, unmanned aerial systems, and observation and communications satellites. Among them, a proposal was submitted to Argentine Defense Minister Jorge Taiana for the ANKA UAV.
