ASELSAN shared test images of AKKOR Active Protection System for the first time

Test images of the AKKOR Active Protection System (APS), originally developed by ASELSAN, were shared for the first time.

AKKOR will create a 360-degree protection shield for tanks.

Turkey became the second country in the world to actively use an APS in its tanks.

AKKOR, which was integrated into the ALTAY main battle tank, was recently delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces for tests.

ASELSAN Chairman of the Board and General Manager Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün shared the test footage of AKKOR for the first time in his post on his Twitter account.

In the post, the following statements were included:

"It will not escape from AKKOR! AKKOR Active Protection System shields our armored troops by destroying Anti Tank Rockets and guided missiles in the air, which are among the most common and biggest threats on the battlefield.

With the integration of the AKKOR Active Protection System into our Altay Tank, Turkey is proud of being one of the two countries in the world that have put these systems into service on our tanks."
