Hürjet, Türkiye's first manned jet-powered aircraft, continues its performance tests

Hürjet, Türkiye's first manned jet-powered aircraft and developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), successfully performed afterburner and wave off tests.

The first user of Hürjet will be Turkish Stars

Hürjet, which can be used as an acrobatic demonstration aircraft as well as light attack, training, and patrol missions, flew for the first time in September 2023 with the "Turkish Stars", the aerobatic team of the Turkish Air Force. Turkish Stars will be the first user of Hürjet, which performs arm flight with F-5 aircraft.

Continuing its flight tests, Türkiye's first jet trainer and light attack aircraft, Hürjet, will replace the F-5 aircraft used by the Turkish Stars. In this context, the Turkish Stars aerobatic team will fly with Hürjet instead of the NF-5 aircraft it uses in the near future.

Hürjet, which successfully passed its first energization test on December 26, 2022, successfully started its engine for the first time on January 30, 2023. Hürjet, which met the runway for taxi tests as of March 18, 2023, successfully made its first flight on April 25, 2023. Hürjet, which has made more than 10 flights from its first flight date, continues its double-cockpit, high-octave performance tests at full speed.
