Russia says S-400 deliveries to India ongoing as per agreed terms

Deliveries of Russian S-400 air defense systems to India are being carried out according to terms of the contract, Aleksandr Mikheyev, head of Rosoboronexport company, an authorized exporter of the Russian arms, said on Tuesday.

"Rosoboronexport fulfills the contract within the agreed terms," Mikheyev told reporters at the international aerospace exhibition Aero India 2023.

In October 2018, Russia and India signed the contract for the supply of five divisions of S-400 systems.

Russia has also presented to India proposals for the supply of an additional batch of MiG-29K/KUB aircraft with advanced capabilities of onboard systems and weapons, Mikheyev said.

He said the Russia defense industry is capable of producing arms for exports in conditions of its "special military operation," and that military cooperation with third countries is "immune to Western sanctions."

The 14th Aero India 2023 international aerospace exhibition is being held on Feb. 13-17 at the Yelahanka Air Base in Bangalore, southern India.

The exhibition is held every two years, of which Russia is an active participant. This year it presents over 200 models of Russian military products.
