Saudi Arabia's World Defense Show kicks off in Riyadh

The World Defense Show (WDS), a global defense and security fair hosted by Saudi Arabia, kicked off in the the country's capital Riyadh.

World Defense Show is an interactive platform for governments and industry thought leaders from across the global defense and security supply chain, to help shape the future of defense.

As the defense industry continues to evolve, decision-makers are facing more complex choices regarding defense solutions than ever before. This makes interoperability across systems increasingly challenging.

More than 800 companies from 45 countries take part in the fair, which is organized by the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI).

In the statement made on the social media account of WDS, it was stated that the fair held in Riyadh "opened its doors for the first time with the wide participation of the leaders of the defense and security sectors from all over the world".

More than 85 military delegations are expected to attend the fair, which is held in an area of 800 thousand square meters in Riyadh. In addition, more than 30 thousand visitors and 3 thousand prominent members of the international industry are expected to visit the fair. The fair started on March 6 and is expected to last through March 9.
