TEI: Testing NATO aircraft engines for more than 20 years

TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI), which manufactures Turkey's aviation engines, has been successfully performing the maintenance and tests of the TF33 engines that have been powering NATO AWACS aircraft since 1999.

TEI, which provides maintenance services for the TF33 engines of NATO Early Warning System Aircraft, also performs the tests of the same engines at its Turbofan Engine Test Site.

TEI was selected as the "Best Repair Center" 3 times by NATO for these services.

TF33 Engine DSB Project

Periodic Warehouse Level Maintenance and unscheduled maintenance of 12.000 - 18,000 hours of TF33-PW-100A engines belonging to NATO AWACS aircraft are carried out in cooperation with TEI and Air Supply Maintenance Center, within the scope of the MG2012/TU contract signed between TEI and IAMCO and valid until 31 December 2021. With this agreement, TEI was also authorized for the maintenance and repair of some engine parts.

Within the scope of the project, planned/unplanned maintenance of over 100 TF33 engines has been carried out by TEI so far.

TEI was selected as the “Best Repair Center” in 2004, 2008 and 2012 by NAMSA and IAMCO, thanks to its outstanding services.
