Turkey graduates four UAV pilots from Djibouti

Today is an auspicious day at the Gebze Technical University's Drone Park campus where FLY BVLOS is graduating its first drone pilots from a 10 week comprehensive beyond visual line of sight UAV training.

The Rector of Gebze Technical University Prof. Dr. Muhammed Hasan ASLAN gave an opening speech congratulating the newly graduated Drone Pilots from Djibouti and emphasized the importance of co-operation between Turkey, Djibouti and other African countries in various technical fields and technology transfer opportunities for bilateral benefit between the nations.

It is also important to underline that the ceremony was attended by the ambassador of Niger, South Sudan, Senegal and Taiwan besides the General Manager of Coşgünöz Holding as well as Come2Turkiye Chairman of the Board.

The new UAV pilots spoke to Defensehere.com after they were handed their badges in the ceremony. The pilots stated that they will be using the new skills they acquired throughout their training in Turkey in different fields such as power line inspections, pipeline inspections, agriculture as well as providing logistics support for humanitarian aid.
