Türk savunma sanayi şirketi Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii tarafından yapılan çalışmayla “Uçan Kale” olarak da adlandırılan uzun menzilli askeri nakliye uçağı Airbus A400M, füze tehditlerine karşı daha güvenli hale getirildi.
Airbus’ın ürettiği A400M askerî uçaklarına ilk kez uygulanan Yönlendirilmiş Kızılötesi Karşı Tedbir ( DIRCM ) sisteminin entegrasyonu TUSAŞ tarafından gerçekleştirildi.
Tasarım ve üretim süreçleri başarıyla tamamlanan projede edinilen bilgiler, gelecekte ATAK ve ANKA’daki olası yapısal sistem entegrasyonlarında da kullanılabilecek. Airbus A400M, dört turboprop motorlu, Avrupa ülkeleri ordularının havadan taşıma isteklerini karşılayabilmek amacıyla Airbus tarafından tasarlandı.
Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri envanterinde de bulunan bu uçağın olası saldırılardan korunması için geliştirilmiş pek çok sistem bulunuyor. Yönlendirilmiş Kızılötesi Karşı Tedbir Sistemi de bunlardan biri.
Daha önce İngiliz Hava Kuvvetleri, garanti sürecini bozma pahasına kendi içinde bu sistemi A400M’e entegre etti. Airbus tarafından yürütülen ilk resmî entegrasyon projesinin kalbinde ise TUSAŞ yer aldı. Uyarı ünitesi ile gelen füzeleri algılayabilen sistem, uçağın elde taşınabilen hava savunma sistemlerinden bile korunmasını sağlıyor.

There are many systems developed to protect this aircraft, which is also in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, from possible attacks. The Directed Infrared Countermeasure System is one of them. Previously, the British Air Force had internally integrated this system into the A400M at the expense of the warranty process. TAI was at the heart of the first official integration project carried out by Airbus. The system, which can detect incoming missiles with its warning unit, ensures that the aircraft is protected even from hand-held air defense systems.
