Bayraktar Kızılelma's first automatic taxi test has been successfully completed

The first automatic taxi and take-off roll test of Bayraktar Kızılelma, Turkey's first unmanned fighter aircraft developed by Baykar with its own resources, has been successfully completed.

The concept design of Kızılelma, which was exhibited for the first time at Teknofest in Samsun, was completed in May 2021.

Bayraktar Kızılelma, Turkey's first unmanned fighter aircraft, developed by Baykar with nearly 20 years of experience, will continue ground tests. The first flight is planned to take place in the near future.

Selcuk Bayraktar directed

Bayraktar Kızılelma was transferred to AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ/Çorlu at the beginning of the week. Here, the automatic taxi tests with safety ties were successfully completed. The first automatic taxi and take-off roll test conducted without safety ties, directed by Baykar Chairman of the Board and CTO Selçuk Bayraktar, was successfully completed.

Low observable technology

Bayraktar Kızılelma will successfully perform the most challenging missions thanks to its low radar cross-section. Turkey's first unmanned fighter plane, which is aimed to have a take-off weight of 6 tons, will use all nationally developed ammunition and will be a great power multiplier with a planned 1500 kilogram payload capacity. The unmanned fighter aircraft will also have high situational awareness with ASELSAN's AESA radar.

Bayraktar Kızılelma, which can perform air-air combat like manned warplanes with aggressive maneuvers, unlike unmanned aerial vehicles, will also provide effectiveness against air targets with domestic air-air ammunition.
