A strategic cooperation protocol was signed Wednesday between two Turkish defense industry companies, Repkon and HAVELSAN, on the sidelines of Far East Asia’s premier defense fair.
Under the terms of this protocol, Repkon Defence's 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher RDS40-AGL will be integrated into HAVELSAN's unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), BARKAN.
This integration will empower the 40mm RDS40-AGL with remote control and autonomous mission capabilities, enhancing its operational effectiveness.
The protocol was formally signed during the Defense Services Asia (DSA) 2024, held in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
Representing their respective companies, Repkon Group's Business Development Manager, Uğur Cem Gürpınar, and HAVELSAN's Operations and International Business Development Assistant General Manager, Şevket Ünal, penned the agreement.
