The Sungur missile developed by ROKETSAN was announced that its ready to be entered into the inventory after successful firing tests.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Demir said on his social media account:
"SUNGUR, a new member of our air defense family, developed by Roketsan together with local defense industry stakeholders under the leadership of a surprise force to increase the capabilities of our security forces, is ready to enter the inventory after successful firing tests! SUNGUR is a pre-class system with its effectiveness against aerial elements and high maneuverability, high target hitting capability and countermeasure capability, titanium warhead, sighting that allows the target to be viewed from long range. A new member of our stepped-up air defense system, it can be integrated into land, air and sea platforms with its portable feature. SUNGUR is capable of moving shot, Night-day target detection, detection, identification, tracking and 360 degree shooting."
The video, posted by Demir, shows the target being shot through with a portable air defense system developed by Roketsan mounted on the BMC vuran, and the target being successfully hit.
