Turkey's defense industry agenda 10 – 16 August, 2020

The second prototype of Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, developed by BAYKAR Defense, successfully completed its first flight test.

The Presidency of Defense Industries started contract negotiations with TR Mekatronik Sistemler, a company established in partnership of TAI and Sarsılmaz, for the development of 25 mm Ground Cannon.

Talking about Turkey having a fleet of six active satellites by 2022, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said: "We are also in the space race."

A cooperation protocol on "Researching the Use of Boron Fiber Reinforced Composite Materials in Aerospace Structures" was signed between TAI and the National Boron Institute.

Turkey's list of the largest 500 private companies "Capital 500", ranked ASELSAN in 35th and TAI in 36th place.

A talent pool was created by the Presidency of Defence Industries within the scope of the "Defense Industry Talent Inventory Project" where companies, institutions and organizations operating in the Turkish defense industry will participate with their products and capabilities.
