Turkish, Indonesian defense chiefs meet in Ankara

Turkey's defense minister on Friday received his Indonesian counterpart in the capital Ankara, said the Turkish National Defense Ministry.

Hulusi Akar welcomed Prabowo Subianto with a military ceremony before holding a bilateral meeting. They also chaired a delegation-level meeting and exchanged views on bilateral and regional defense, security issues and cooperation in the defense industry. 

In a visit to France on Wednesday, the Indonesian minister met with his French counterpart Florence Parly in the capital Paris and discussed the current situation in the Indo-Pacific region.

“Prabowo Subianto and Florence Parly emphasized the importance of maintaining the stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region,” said the Indonesian Ministry of Defense in a statement released on Friday.
