Turkish, UAE companies invest $37 million in battery technology in Turkey's capital Ankara

Arı Battery and Energy Storage Technologies from Turkey and Infusion Solar Energy Systems from United Arab Emirates signed an agreement to invest 37 million dollars in battery technology at the launch event of the new venture held in Teknopark Ankara, yesterday.

The future of battery technology and the details of the investment were shared at the launch event, which was attended by the relevant government bureaucrats, defense industry and managers of many technology companies.

Strategic and critical products will be produced in the Supercapacitor Battery and Energy Storage factory, which will be established in Ankara and will employ 150 people.

Making the opening speech of the event, VERA Group Founding CEO Dursun Özeroğlu stated the importance of R&D and investment into innovative energy storage technologies and the critical role of batteries in sustainability.

OSTİM Technical University Rector Professor Doctor Murat Yülek stated that this investment is a serious investment and an environmentally friendly technology that will bring employment for the OSTİM-Ivedik industrial area.

The ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Saeed Thani Hareb Al Dhaheri, the chairman of OSTİM OSB Orhan Aydın, and the president of Ankara Chamber of Electrical Engineers Dr. Şeref Sağıroğlu, gave speeches at the signing ceremony.
