TAI successfully Completes First Aircraft Maintenance with a Civil Empennage Registration

Turkish Aerospace broke new ground by providing maintenance service for the first time to an aircraft with a civil empennage registration. Provided by the Civil Maintenance Organization founded within the company’s Department of Logistics Services, the service included the elimination of certain faults and carrying out platform- level planned maintenance of the King Air 350i with TC-KDR registration.

The Civil Maintenance Organization, founded within Turkish Aerospace Department of Logistics Services and authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) with the authorization number TR.145.110, for the first time offered a maintenance service to an aircraft with a civil empennage registration. This first maintenance service was carried out on the King Air 350i with TC- KDR registration that is included in the inventory of the Directorate General of Land Registry and Cadastre.

The service of the King Air 350i with TC-KDR registration included carrying out platform-level planned maintenance and the elimination of certain faults. The landing gear was successfully replaced and the aircraft was given a Certificate of Release to Service (CRS). After a component-level maintenance of the aircraft battery, the organization also presented its first DGCA Form-1 document.
