Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov announced on 03 February that they have received 85 tons of combat ammunition for grenade launchers in the latest shipments from the U.S.
It is reported that within the pallets of shipments handed over were also MK19 40 mm automatic grenade launchers. Such ammunition and weapons deliveries have been pouring into Ukraine from NATO countries since the rise of Russian military buildup in Ukraine's borders.
The Mk 19 grenade launcher is an American 40 mm belt-fed automatic grenade launcher that was first developed during 1960s.
