For the first time... Turkish Derya Arms introduces a pistol made of polymer

Turkish arms manufacturer, Derya Arms, launched its first pistol made of polymer, dubbed DY9.

The company announced that the gun will enter the stage of mass production and will be put up for sale soon. Derya Arms also stated that the pistol will be displayed for the first time at "SHOT Show" to be held between 17-20 January 2024 in Las Vegas, USA.

Derya Arms Social Media Coordinator Bülent Özbilgiç said the following about the DY9 pistol in an interview with Defensehere.com:

In an interview with defensehere.com, the Social Media Coordinator of Derya Arms, Bülent Özbilgiç, said that the DY9 is a 9mm pistol featuring a very ergonomic design making it comfortable an easy to handle.

Özbilgiç also mentioned that they people who are authorized to purchase pistols from MAKINE VE KIMYA ENDUSTRISI INC. will be able to purchase the DY9.

DY9 9x19

Featuring a polymer body and a steel, the DY9 model 9x19 pistol will be on sale with different slides and color combinations.

The pistol is compact, light, comfortable to carry and easy to use. DY9 will also be available with many options for accessories which will be make a very favorable option for users.

  1. This is a good looking gun. It looks like a Glock 17 or 19 does it shair magazines with Glock? Are they optic ready? How many grip options come with the new gun? How much will it sell for? How soon can I check it out and make a spec demo video to put on face book. I will gladly show and help sell this assume looking pistol.
