Radiation detector will be produced for TÜBİTAK Space Moon Mission

IRADETS, Türkiye's first and only nuclear industry company established in Teknopark Istanbul and capable of developing products and projects from A to Z in its field, signed a cooperation protocol with TÜBİTAK.

With the protocol signed, IRADETS will produce a radiation detector for the 'Turkish Moon Mission'.

Operating in Teknopark Istanbul, Türkiye’s deep technology center, IRADETS carries out products, projects and services in the fields of radiation interactions in the defense industry, health industry, materials science, space and aviation sectors. Within the scope of the protocol signed with Tübitak Space, IRADETS will take part with its products and projects developed to protect electronic, electromechanical devices, materials and living organisms to be sent into space from the effects of the radiation environment in orbit.

Radiation measurements are vital for studies in space

The devices developed by IRADETS can be applied on satellites in space and can be used as radiation alarm systems. In this way, it will be possible for high-tech devices and personnel both on earth and in space to work safely, and the dangers that may occur in space projects will be prevented.
