TAAC Aerospace Technologies signs its first international contract

TAAC Aerospace Technologies, the developer of the landing gear and subsystems for Türkiye’s air platforms, especially HÜRJET and the National Combat Aircraft KAAN, signed its first overseas contract with EDGE Group (ADASI), a group of defense and aerospace companies based in the United Arab Emirates.

TAAC Aerospace Technologies, which was established in 2019 in partnership with TAI and Altınay Defense Technologies, has taken a strategic step towards becoming one of the leading players in the global market with the mission of reducing foreign dependence in the defense and aerospace sector and increasing national power.
TAAC, which develops flight control system actuators, landing gears and critical test systems locally and indigenously, realized an important export move by signing a contract with EDGE Group. TAAC aims to make a national contribution and increase its global impact by exporting the products it designs and manufactures with Turkish engineering.

Commenting on the contract, Enis Ata, General Manager of TAAC, said: "The start of the project we have agreed upon with the EDGE Group will confirm TAAC's brand value globally, especially in the Middle East. In the coming period, we aim to strengthen our position on a global scale by increasing our export share in line with TAAC's developing capabilities, while continuing to be a solution center for our country's indigenous platforms."

Experts in Landing Gear Development

Acting with a sense of responsibility for the coordination and guidance of its stakeholders in all areas from production to design, from qualification to analysis, TAAC continues to grow by expanding its overseas activities with the knowledge and experience gained from the product development processes for Türkiye’s indigenous air platforms. TAAC, which is in an important position in product and system development thanks to the combination of Altınay's areas of expertise and TAI's strength, will not only contribute to exports in the sector through its international collaborations, but will also demonstrate Türkiye’s landing gear development expertise on a global scale.
Drawing attention to Türkiye’s position in landing gear development, Ata said: "Türkiye is among the few countries that can develop a fifth-generation fighter jet. Türkiye is one of the few countries that has the capability to develop landing gear for a platform of this caliber and can offer this capability to its customers on a global scale. At TAAC, we offer the solutions we develop domestically and nationally to the global market. With our first overseas contract, we have taken an important step for both our country and the industry. Hereby, we will increase our impact by further advancing our country in landing gear development capability."
