Tests of CTech's satellite communication systems for Malaysia successfully completed at Leonardo's facilities

CTech has successfully completed the integration and testing activities of satellite communication systems for air platforms at the facilities of the Italian defense company Leonardo in Turin.

CTech's successful completion of the satellite communication systems test brought an exciting development for the Royal Malaysian Air Force. This integration will strengthen the operational capacity of the air force by redefining the communication infrastructure of TUSAS' Anka UAV and Leonardo's ATR-72 maritime patrol aircraft.

The QuARX-A and QuARX-G modems performed impressively in a wide band range from 1 Mbps to 6 Mbps in tests conducted on Telespazio's antenna and Ka Band satellite. This achievement demonstrated CTech's high-level capabilities in RF performance and provided a reassuring foundation for future integration efforts.

At the demo result meeting on December 13, 2023, the Telespazio team confirmed the one hundred percent accuracy of the link budget calculation for the QuARX-A modem. This was noted as an important confirmation that the systems can operate without any problems. In addition, the ground modem, which will be sent to Leonardo to simulate the real scenario, will contribute to the creation of a suitable environment for full integration.

These achievements represent an important milestone in the defense sector, highlighting CTech's technological capabilities and understanding of cooperation.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force had ordered Anka UAV from TUSAS and ATR-72 maritime patrol aircraft from Leonardo and requested the use of CTech's satellite communication systems in these products.
