Turkey's first submarine test infrastructure enters service

Turkey's first submarine test infrastructure (DATA), developed by TÜBİTAK Defense Industries Research and Development Institute (SAGE), enters service.

As a test platform, DATA can test and simulate submarine munitions without the need for a submarine.

With the attendance of Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, DATA entered service. Stating that the test infrastructure is a system designed, implemented and produced by Turkish engineers and technicians, Minister Varank said, “DATA will accelerate the development processes of important munitions.”

A demonstration shot was made with the command of Minister Varank from the underwater assembly. After the demonstration Minister Varank congratulated the DATA team and said, "I hope Turkey's deterrence will increase much more with the capabilities here."
