US Administration approves sale of Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles to Netherlands

The U.S. State Department has approved the Foreign Military Sale to the Netherlands of Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles with Extended Range and related equipment.

The Netherlands has requested to buy 120 AGM-158B/B-2 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles with Extended Range (JASSM-ER) with related equipment such as support and spare parts.

The estimated total cost is $908 million.

The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, FL.

According to the State Department, this proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the U.S. by improving the security of a NATO Ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.
