The recent development in the Turkish defense industry has brought with it the need for qualified human resources at various levels. Based on this need, the leading institutions of the sector have recently started to assume responsibility for the establishment of vocational and technical education institutions at the secondary education level. These educational institutions, which have started to accept students, are in high demand due to the opportunities they offer.
Şile Ayet Azer Aran Defense Industry Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School was established as an example of these efforts. The high school, which was established within the scope of the protocol signed in 2021 between the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education, REPKON Makine ve Kalıp Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ and Şile Municipality, started its educational activities on the REPKON campus.
According to the results of the High School Entrance Exam (LGS) organized by the Ministry of National Education, English preparatory education is given in the first year of the high school, which accepts students and has a 5-year education period.
Thanks to the high-level education provided for the defense industry, students are offered employment and a bright career opportunity. By combining public and private sector opportunities with world-class vocational and technical education, it is also aimed to create students' basic technical knowledge before engineering education.
Şile Ayet Azer Aran Defense Industry Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School will move to its new campus, which is under construction, in the 2024-2025 academic year.
The school has Defense Mechanical Systems under the field of "machinery and design technologies" and Industrial Automation Technologies under the field of "industrial automation technologies".
In the buildings in the new campus of the high school; There will be many workshops, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics laboratories, as well as a conference and gymnasium.
In the high school, whose quota is limited to 30 students for each year, a class with 15 students is opened for each branch.
Internship opportunities are provided to students by REPKON. The first 5 students who are placed in the school with the LGS score are given a scholarship by REPKON for 5 years. The employment of graduate students will also be supported by REPKON. REPKON also contributes to the projects planned by the ministry and the school.
