Russia’s Rosoboronexport to hold talks with Middle Eastern states at UMEX 2024

In a press release, Russia’s defense export company Rosoboronexport announced that it will participate in the Sixth International Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX 2024) organized in Abu Dhabi on 23-25 January where it will conduct several meetings with representatives of United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern states aimed at increasing its partnerships in the region.

In his statement, Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev said that the company expects to “start promoting reconnaissance & fire support robots as well as unmanned ammunition delivery and casualty evacuation vehicles in the near term” and that at UMEX 2024, “Rosoboronexport will also present counter-UAV systems, including those developed by Rostec enterprises, and will brief about their capabilities.”

The company also further stated that at UMEX 2024, Rosoboronexport will hold several meetings with representatives of United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern states to cooperate in the promotion of Russian unmanned systems. The company expressed its intention to offer its services in the region for constructing high-tech service facilities for repair and maintenance of unmanned systems.
