Chinese company aims Middle East market for its unmanned helicopters

Flightwin, Chinese UAV maker is aiming Middle East market for its autonomous helicopters. The FWH-1500 is a heavy-duty unmanned helicopter capable of fully autonomous takeoff, landing and route flight.

Chong Chen, Marketing Director at Flightwin said their helicopters can carry and drop 300 kilos of cargo in an interview with DefenseHere.

Chong stated the helicopter they showcased had been used for many scenarios, such as emergency rescues and forest fire fighting and also for other deliveries.

He said “Now you can see this fire [extinguishing] bombs. And then there's the medical cabin. And this one is part and parcel and it can be dropped. And also it can be dropped by the rope.
It's very carefully delivering that one. And this one is operated for many years rather five years. So every year, I think it's more than 300 hours of operation. And this one is the maximum takeoff weight is one ton and that payload weight is 300 KG. For the full payload endurance is 5 hours. If it is held, it is half that; 150 KG. Then endurance time is 8 hours.”
