The U.S. Department of Defense has officially confirmed that it will send M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to Ukraine.

HIMARS is a high-tech, lightweight rocket launcher mounted on a vehicle such as a truck, giving it more agility and maneuverability on the battlefield. Each vehicle unit is capable of carrying six GPS-guided rockets. HIMARS can be recharged in about 1 minute with a small crew.
