South Korea held a parade on Armed Forces Day for the first time in 10 years

In Seoul, the capital of South Korea, a parade was held for the first time in 10 years for Armed Forces Day.

According to Yonhap, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup also attended the Armed Forces Day parade in Seoul.

The parade, held for the first time in 10 years, involved about 3,700 soldiers.

The ceremony showcased 170 pieces of military equipment, including the country's missiles and tanks.

In South Korea, a ceremony is held every 5 years for Armed Forces Day.

The last time a military parade was held in the country was on Armed Forces Day in 2013.

South Korea did not hold a parade on Armed Forces Day in 2018 as part of efforts by then-President Moon Jae-in's administration to reconcile with North Korea.
