Turkish Defense Industry Agency (SSB) announced that there will be national participation in 2 fairs in 2023.
National participation will be made in the LAAD (International Defense and Security Fair), which will be held in Rio De Jenerio, Brazil, on April 11-14, 2023, and in the Defense & Security 2023, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 6-9, 2023.
In addition to these fairs, SSB will also participate in the following fairs as an institution in 2023:
20-24 February 2023 - United Arab Emirates / Abu Dhabi - IDEX (International Defense Exhibition & Conference)
23–25 May 2023 - Malaysia / Langkawi - LIMA (International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition)
5–8 September 2023 - Poland / Kielce - MSPO (International Defense Industry Exhibition)
5–7 December 2023 - Kuwait / GDA (Gulf Defense & Aerospace Exhibition)
Turkish participation in 8 international fairs in 2022
The Turkish defense industry participated in DIMDEX (Qatar), DSA (Malaysia), FIDAE (Chile), ADEX (Azerbaijan, AAD (South Africa), Indo Defense (Indonesia), IDEAS (Pakistan) and ADAS (Philippines) fairs in 2022.
Participating in the fair within the scope of national participation provide support to domestic companies. Besides "national participation", Turkish defense companies will participate in various fairs and events in countries they deem important for them, and will strive for export opportunities.
The exports of the Turkish defense industry exceeded 4 billion dollars in 2022
The exports of the Turkish defense and aerospace sector in 2021 amounted to 3 billion 224 million dollars. This figure was the highest ever. In 2022, this figure has been exceeded and the total export figure has exceeded 4 billion dollars.
The momentum gained in the Turkish defense and aerospace sector is also reflected in the export figures. In 2023, it is aimed to make an export of around 10 billion dollars.
