President of Türkiye's Defence Industry Agency (SSB) Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün announced that the second of the two 76-meter Offshore Patrol Vessels to be delivered to the Nigerian Navy has been launched.
Görgün made the following statement on his social media account:
"We are at Dearsan Shipyard to perform the "Launching Ceremony" of the second of the two 76-meter Offshore Patrol Vessels to be delivered to the Federal Republic of Nigeria Naval Forces Command. On this occasion, we are pleased to welcome Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the esteemed wife of the President of Nigeria, Mr. Bola Tinubu; the Nigerian Minister of Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, and the accompanying delegation. I wish that the Offshore Patrol Vessel, which we are inaugurating today, will be beneficial to the Naval Forces Command of Nigeria, a friendly and brotherly country. Through the projects we carry out, many of our platforms built with domestic and national capabilities will continue to serve in the Blue Homeland and fly our glorious flag in many parts of the world."
