Türksat became a member of the International Astronautical Federation

Türksat became a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), which was founded in 1951 and is the world's most important and largest space organization with more than 500 members from 75 countries.

According to the written statement made by the company, the general assembly of the IAF, which is one of the largest space organizations in the world with 513 members in 77 countries, where the world's leading space agencies, companies, research institutions and institutes are members, was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

While General Manager Hasan Hüseyin Ertok attended the general assembly on behalf of Türksat, where all members of the Federation were present, the company's membership to the Federation was unanimously accepted.

The IAF was founded in 1951 as one of the industry's leading aerospace and defense organizations. Being a member of the IAF, which hosts the International Astronomy Congress, which is held every year and brings together all global space actors, is of great importance, especially in terms of increasing international cooperation.
