CANiK, one of the leading brands in Türkiye's defense industry, was founded 25 years ago on September 18, 1998. Company officials made special evaluations for the 25th year.
Chairman of Board of SYS, H. Zafer Aral made the following statement:

The foundations of CANiK, which has reached the position of the 6th largest light weapons manufacturer in the world and exports 95 percent of its production to 70 countries on four continents, were laid in a small workshop in Samsun in 1998. Over the past 25 years, the company has succeeded in exporting its pistols, anti-aircraft guns, artillery and fire control systems to friendly and allied countries around the world.
