Contract signed to acquire ULAQ AUSV

The contract for the purchase of ULAQ armed unmanned surface vessel (AUSV) by the Turkish Naval Forces Command was signed between the Defense Industry Agency, ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defense.

In this context, ULAQ AUSV, developed by ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defense, will be included in the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces Command.

ULAQ AUSV, which will enter Turkish Naval Forces Command inventory, will be able to conduct both Surface Warfare and Anti-submarine warfare.

ULAQ AUSV was developed for the purpose of performing intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance, surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare missions unmanned and autonomously.

ULAQ stands out with its light, durable and certified composite body, active and passive stabilization systems, EO/IR wide-angle navigation camera, satellite communication capability, precise maneuverability and full autonomy.

ULAQ, Turkey's first AUSV, was introduced for the first time with a ceremony held on October 28, 2020.

Launched for the first time in February 2021, mass production began in August 2022.

ULAQ made its first shot at the Seawolf-2021 Exercise.
