Embraer to bring over 150 jobs to its Florida facility

Embraer, one of the largest aerospace companies in the world, is now hiring for more than 150 open positions at its Melbourne, Florida facility.

The company is hiring for multiple positions including Assembly Technicians, A&P Technicians, Aircraft Painters, Quality Inspectors and Manufacturing Engineers.

Embraer’s Melbourne campus serves as the company’s headquarters for its Executive Jets unit. Opened in 2011, the facility is home to the assembly line for two of the company’s light-jet aircraft: the Phenom 100EV and the Phenom 300E. Employees also work on the final assembly of the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600, the most disruptive and technologically advanced mid-sized jets on the market. In addition, the 67-acre campus includes a 58,000 square ft. Global Customer Center and state-of-the-art Engineering and Technology Center.

“Embraer chose the Space Coast due to the area’s highly-skilled workforce and because of this, we are lucky to work with extremely talented individuals each day. Our company is growing at a remarkable pace and we are now looking to expand our talent search—not only in Brevard, but throughout the entire state,” said Darrel Stern, Head of Talent Acquisition & Campus Programs Manager, Embraer North America. “As we experience this growth, this is an opportunity to work for a company that is passionate about stretching the boundaries of what is possible and integrates different cultures into a global environment.”

In 2021, Embraer delivered 93 executive jets and the company as a whole ended 4Q21 with its highest quarter backlog since 2Q18. Recently, Embraer’s Phenom 300 series—which is assembled in Melbourne—was named the world’s best-selling light jet for the 10th consecutive year and the most delivered twinjet of 2021.

Embraer will be hosting a recruiting event with CareerSource Brevard County on April 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at the Rockledge Career Center at 295 Barnes Boulevard in Rockledge, Florida.
