Türkiye’s Defense Industry Agenda 02 – 08 October 2023

• ASELSAN signed a contract worth 14 million dollars with TUSAS for aircraft avionics modernization and with ROKETSAN for communication, seeker head, fire control systems for approximately 5 million dollars, 5 million euros, 55 million turkish liras.
• CTech has developed a "Special Beyond Line of Sight National Communication" system for the rotary-wing aircraft Gyrocopter and the flying car.
• President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appointed Yusuf Kıraç as the head of the Turkish Space Agency.
• A partnership agreement was signed between Türksat and the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
• SAHA Istanbul and HAVELSAN opened a liaison office at the Baku Campus of the Azerbaijan Informatics Valley.
• UÇAKSAN, operating in Bursa, signed an agreement with the Pakistani company Ventures for the supply of the Training and Utility Aircraft Troy T400.
• Türkiye's first manned jet-powered aircraft, Hürjet, successfully performed afterburner and wave off tests.
• President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar and the accompanying delegation visited TUSAS.
• Otokar announced that the increased business volume was reflected in employment and the number of personnel increased to 3,257.
• President of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün sat in the cockpit of HÜRJET and participated in the "after burner" test.
• ROKETSAN and Türksat became members of the International Astronautical Federation which was founded in 1951 and has more than 500 members from 75 countries.
• CANiK won one of the important tenders of the National Police Agency in Indonesia.
• Bilal Topçu, who has been the General Manager of Teknopark Istanbul for 5 years, has become the new General Manager of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
• CES Composite's Ballistic Test Laboratory has been approved by the Turkish Accreditation Agency.
• Romanian Defense Minister Angel Tilvar and the accompanying delegation visited the Presidency of Defense Industries and ASELSAN.
• The Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator, produced by HAVELSAN for Turkish Airlines, received the Level D certificate, the highest level of competence, from the European Aviation Safety Agency.
