Education starts at the first Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineering course of Turkish Aerospace

Education has started as part of the first Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineering course in Turkey.

The training was successfully completed at Turkish Aerospace and Space Industry (TUSAŞ) facilities.

Twelve students participated in the test pilot and flight test engineering course, from Turkish Aerospace, Turkish Airlines (THY), the Civil Aerospace General Directorate and ASELSAN.

The students and trainers began this journey in their aviation career by testing fixed wing civilian and military aircraft located at the facility such as the Hürkuş, Hürjet and National Combat Aircraft (MMU) KAAN.

Turkish Flight Test Trainers Murat Özpala and Emre Can Kaya marked a first by joining the International Test Pilots School (ITPS) training team.

The Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineering course concurrently marks the opening of educational institution ITPS in Turkey as part of an ITPS agreement with Turkish Aerospace.

Turkish Aerospace and ITPS Canada had signed an agreement protocol in April 2023.

Turkish Aerospace occupies a place as Turkey’s domestic jet manufacturer with its wide array of advanced fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

ITPS is the world’s largest independent flight test school and is currently active at its two campuses, in Canada and Turkey.
