Hensoldt received STC from EASA for its lightweight voice and flight data recorder SferiRec LCR 100

Hensoldt recently announced that their partner of the DRF Luftrettung, a part of the German air medical services, has received the latest Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) from EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency for Lightweight voice and flight data recorder SferiRec LCR 100 for Airbus’ H135 helicopter.

Having received ETSO (European Technical Standard Order) certification last year, Hensoldt now worked with DRF Stiftung Luftrettung gemeinnützige AG who integrated the recorder while also ensuring compliance with NVIS requirement. Hensoldt’s lightest crash recorder, weighing only 1 kg, is installed in the cockpit, and can be operated by pilot and co-pilot.

The latest certification is another important contribution to the company’s commitment to increasing flight safety in light rotorcraft.
After the first STC for the Beechcraft King Air series earlier this year and the new STC for the H135, further certifications are already in progress.
